i don't care to 'bash the pit' but I will say after the influx of lurkers / dormant posters / new posters when Gigaton came out - I have an all new respect for thread integrity

it's less of an issue in normal times when there are only 10 active posters on this board

but when 187 people show up and all start blurting out whatever comes to mind it really highlights the importance of board hygiene and i dig that

the pit is a morass of fleeting spam thoughts

you can't understand anything

it's all bot clutter

I was actually enjoying the Pit for a while there (the Euro tour rumour thread was A+) until the spring tour rumours and new single/album came out and it descended into complete madness. I go there for a bit of a laugh and come here when I want something a little more insightful. It's always a good read here.

And apologies, I'm one of the lurkers / rare posters here, but I always stand by the view of only saying something if you you have something positive to add to the conversation. Or just want to say something nice

Thanks for the welcome guys, and it was totally meant as a compliment, you all definitely add more to the conversation than 90% of the Pit members. Especially that guy with the Pug orphan - I can't tell if it's real or a bad attempt at satire tbh
