this can sit right alongside "Get Right", "Hitchiker" and "Gremmy", and I'm OK with that

it's nowhere near as bad as "Supersonic"

Not the direction I wanted. The opening drums hits are promising but it goes into such a SOFT ASS BASIC riff. The vocal melodies are...ok. It just honestly sounds like a cover song? It sounds like any number of punk/rock songs thatr Pearl Jam has tried to cover over the years. Way too many Ed lyrics. This is fucking spritzy.

The solo was pretty good.

For the record, I like The Getaway, Johnny Guitar, MYM, Gonna See My Friend and CANT DENY MEmore than this. (I actually like Can't Deny Me, I don't think it's half bad)
I honestly cannot believe someone would like those songs more than this one but that's why these things are so subjective. And clearly this is a song that some may like and some may hate, I just wish they had aimed much higher...at least with the second single. All that said I liked it more and more on a few repeat listens but it will never be a top song. And Ed has no chance of singing this live.

I like the little 20-second snippet they used for the clip. I said in the other thread that I would have been fine if the song was just 2-3 minutes of that on loop. And now that I've heard the real thing I wish that's what it was.

This is a shambles of a song, shapelessly written in a really bad way and really poorly sung. Mike's guitar solo sounds like someone trying to play "Eruption" at a talent show audition.

Guys, this song is fucking awesome. I’m totally into it.

Have fun hating

When have you ever heard an "anthem" that sounds like this? There isn't anything to even sing along to.
Bro he said not anthem

I don't hate the song, but this is still too close to being true than I'm really comfortable with.

The bridge in Supersonic alone eats this fucking song for breakfast and I don't even like that song.

totally

all my favourite PJ "fun" songs feel unfinished, unpolished, as if they genuinely enjoyed themselves and then said that'll do

BoB would have had them do 25 more takes, but this new guy caught Ed having a blast and said "that's it"

the live versions of this song are going to be bad but I have it on record so that's all that matters

nah, it doesn't; if anything that and the clip we had of this song are equally generic and unworthy of comment
