Jeff said Kemp was second best player in the NBA at one point. That was never true, but nice to see Kemp love.
Yeah, definitely. The Sonics were fun to watch, but to say he was second best is a stretch. I'm sure we could find at least five other players during that era not named Jordan, who were better.verb_to_trust wrote:Jeff said Kemp was second best player in the NBA at one point. Yea...clearly wrong and Bill did a good job of not slamming him. Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Detlef Schrempf - loved that trio.verb_to_trust wrote:Jeff said Kemp was second best player in the NBA at one point. That was never true, but nice to see Kemp love.
Maybe Jeff was thinking of the 96 Finals? Kemp was certainly top 2 in that series. His career superstar trajectory after that season seemed pretty set in stone, until it wasn't.dad wrote:Yeah, definitely. The Sonics were fun to watch, but to say he was second best is a stretch. But that was certainly generous of Jeff.

I guess there’s a guy named John quarantining with Ed and his family.dad wrote:one of my favorite parts of the interview is when Ed asks "John" for a beer.

I thought the same thing. Maybe Ed has John Burton fetch him beers in the off season.tragabigzanda wrote:I’m assuming it was a remote session with Ed in his own studio, with an engineer named John.
yeah, this is my guess.RAG319 wrote:Also, seems more likely to me Ed's smoking a joint and is relighting it from time to time.
That’s his man servant. You don’t have a man servant?dad wrote:one of my favorite parts of the interview is when Ed asks "John" for a beer.
