I think this episode did a great job giving each of the innies a reason to hang around; I’m sure next week we’ll see how Milchick convinced the other outies to come back.

Well you’ve got to imagine that outies have met some other Lumon employees, there’s other people walking around the buildings and they know the name of the guy guarding the elevator. Even if Dylan didn’t know Milchick before, he could’ve just knocked on the door and been like “I’m a manager at Lumon.” Not hard to imagine.

Although Tbf I think the fact that we haven’t spent any extended time with Dylan’s outie says something about how important it will be when we do see his outside life.

i guess i'll have to rewatch the finale to sort this out, since you guys are incapable of anything beyond terse responses.

A couple of days before the finale, Dylan G (innie) stole a pictograph from Optics & Design. When Milchick realized what had happened, the danger that it was snuck outside the severed floor was so great that he initiated OTC to talk to Dylan G (innie) at his outie’s home. We don’t know what Milchick said to Dylan (outie) when he arrived at his home, only that he somehow convinced him to go into a closet so Milchick could initiate OTC and talk to Dylan (innie) while they made a deal with his outie’s kid to count to 1000 while they talked. OTC was initiated, Dylan (innie) confirmed that the pictograph was hidden in the MDR bathroom, and Milchick then shuts down OTC, but not before Dylan’s (outie) kid runs in and hugs Dylan (innie); Milchick cuts OTC at this moment and we very briefly get Dylan (outie) saying something like “We good?” to Milchick before the scene ends. OTC was not active for any other severed employee at this time. During the finale, Dylan activates OTC for the other three MDR employees, but not himself.
