Are you coming to day 1, Adam? Hope you hadn't booked flights yet.

Ditto - since I booked a ticket for Syd1 I've been ruminating on how I can possibly justify pulling the trigger for Syd2 as well. And that's the end of that chapter.
How many other RMers are going to the Sydney show?

i wonder if one of these will be broadcast live on jjj or on channel v or something (does channel v still exist?).
it'd be cool to get a proshot video or a soundboard recording from the radio.

Well there is now a free night in their schedule. I wonder if they can do a side show or maybe the BDO organisers have them tied up contractually.

Ed's got a free night to do a J, drink and get quality aussie hookers.
With the release of Pearl Jam’s tenth studio album ‘Lightning Bolt’ just over a week away (out Oct 11), you could win a trip to see one of the worlds biggest bands rock it out at EVERY AUSTRALIAN BIG DAY OUT! Not only will you see Pearl Jam live five times but you will also have the opportunity to watch Arcade Fire, Blur, Snoop Dogg, Tame Impala and many more BDO 2014 acts live.
This is the only opportunity to WIN the ultimate Pearl Jam fan prize, allowing you and a friend to tour around Australia with Pearl Jam. You will get flown around on Australia on a state by state extravaganza, all flights and accommodation paid for.
AND IF THIS ISN’T ENOUGH! The lucky winner will also take home a JBL & Harman/Kardon Audio Pack!
To enter the draw all you have to do is pre-order the album at a JB Hi-Fi Store or online and tell us in 25 words or less why you deserve to see Pearl Jam perform live at every Big Day Out festival in Australia in 2014. There are also FIVE double pass tickets to the festival to give away to five lucky runners up!
The competition closes at 4pm on October 10th, so get on board and pre-order this killer record featuring the phenomenal lead single, ‘Mind Your Manners’.
Pearl Jam will be featured in a very special episode of Channel 10′s REVEALED tomorrow night (Thursday 10/10) at 9.30PM.
The program will be take viewers on a journey through the close friendship between Pearl Jam and Aussie surf legend Mark Richards.
Tune in to see this very special edition of REVEALED tomorrow night at 9.30PM
‘Lightning Bolt’ Pearl Jam’s tenth studio album is out this Friday Oct 11.
Hopefully it's more than just the interview we've already seen and gives us some insight into the legendary 2006 tour and Newcastle show.
I'll record it and upload to jam-river unless someone beats me to it
So this was a bit of a fizzer in the end - it was just a 15 minute segment that showed clips of the interview at PJHQ along with some vision of the interview that appeared in the Newcastle Herald.
The only bit of new info was a short snippet of a video for the song Lightning Song (same scenario as Sirens) so mark that one down as the next single...

Looking at the recent setlists has my excitement level for these shows pretty much through the roof.
Wish I was going to more than one show (and that they weren't festival shows) but it's still going to be a blast.

Yeah if they weren't festival shows I'd definitely be hitting up more than one. I'm a little pissed off really that they opted to do it this way when there's 100% no need for them to do it. They'd honestly get better ticket sales doing their own shows, and I think it's been proven considering not a single BDO has sold out yet. But oh well, Melbourne will be fun!!

I'm not surprised, as soon as I saw the lineup there was no way it'd live up to the ridiculous hype. I'm getting a bit sick of only getting to see bands at festivals too, I doubt there's a single Pearl Jam fan in the country who would've preferred BDO to their own tour.
