That's about how mine is. Mostly blind and deaf and has been struggling to make it outside, but he doesn't seem unhappy and still eats. I think he had a seizure today when I picked him up. I'm sure the move hasn't helped. Good luck!

After $625 at the vet on Monday, Snowball’s blood pressure was way high. Vet went thru a whole “this leads to this which leads to this…” diagnosis which seemed plausible. Put her on another BP med as well as a nausea/appetite inducer and told us to give her some Pepcid too for suspected reflux. Everything seems to be working as she’s eaten every meal since and she’s back to her old self. I did flat out ask him if he thought this was THE END and he said well, if she doesn’t respond to treatment it may be. But if she responds she should be around a while longer.

its seems like our dogs are a lot like the last number of Pearl Jam albums...getting too old, they give you a glimpse of hope every so often but you know the end is near and you just dont want to deal with it

Both my dogs are about 2 years old and all these posts about aging pups makes me sad...

and trag and strat are sitting on a park bench criticizing how they hobble around and that their coats aren’t as shiny.

Mine didn't start falling apart until about twelve, so you got some time.

She’s 55 pounds of rock-solid bitch. Lab/husky mix, supposedly.

sigh.. you've been away too long

long-dogging is when your dog lies down with his long-doggin' legs flat out behind him

They're both cattle dog mixes. Adorable mutt rescues.

This is about as close as he gets to splooting. He has fat haunches.
