There are reports the Guns N' Roses frontman is going to fill in as lead singer for AC/DC, which is rumored to be opening for GNR on its upcoming tour. Axl was at a rehearsal studio in Atlanta with Angus Young and co. on Friday ... maybe running through the classics, maybe finalizing a deal.
Neither side's reps are confirming anything yet.
Looks like Axl's been working hard to get in shape for the double duty tour -- and this is our first look at him in a long time.
If the voice works ... do ya really care what he looks like?

It's pretty weird that AC/DC was opening for GNR anyway. Now it's gonna be "An Evening With Axl Rose".

this will probably mean a 5 song ac/dc set and a 12 song GnR set, all for the affordable price of $200 a ticket.

I can't imagine the part about AC/DC opening for G n R will end up being true. I doubt both that Axl's voice could handle it and that Angus would have a bar of AC/DC being anyone's opening band.

I hate Axl, but fucking A if they were to add a Boston/New England date onto the other 10 makeup shows, I'd be fucking tempted as fuck to go

He sounds fucking great, and he has CLEARLY been a good thing for the rest of the band...Rock N Roll Damnation? If You Want Blood? Riff Raff? Touch Too Much?

YES PLEASE...these are the best AC/DC setlists since 2003, when they played like 10 shows and whipped out some of the stuff above along with some other barely touched Bon-era songs

It's funny, as much of a douche as Axl is, there's always been something about the things involving his idols and the acts he clearly grew up respecting and listening to that has always grounded him...the Stones, Queen, Aerosmith, Elton John etc...I won't say every time, but most of the time the stuff that makes you hate him seems to go away in those situations

I really hope the band puts out a live document of some sort of these shows

Just give me an EP of the stuff they haven't played in years or never at all (R&R Damnation, If You Want Blood, Riff Raff, Touch Too Much, maybe throw in Sin City for good measure too since that's another Bon era song Brian never quite got right)

the last three or so years of the band is unreal. Malcolm going senile. Phil Rudd recording the album and then becoming a huge method addict before the tour. Then Brian Johnson having to leave the tour and All Rose coming and being far better as a singer than online gave him any credit for prior t the first show and many thought was a bad joke, giving the band's setlista kick in the ass. Unreal.

maybe just maybe having to sit made him realize how good his voice could be if he didn't spend all night running around like a madman...I'd rather be optimistic until the first chords of It's So Easy hits at my shows lol

This is such a great song.
It really is. Probably top 5 AC/DC, and certainly top 5 of the Bon era.
