Does anyone know yet if the 2023 Give Way release is mixed/mastered the same as the 1998 Best Buy promo?
Seems to be sold out everywhere.Coach wrote:is this online yet
That seems to be the case.. Haven't compared but there are no liner notes (credits) on this.ridleybradout wrote:Does anyone know yet if the 2023 Give Way release is mixed/mastered the same as the 1998 Best Buy promo?

I think B might mean--and this is something that I hate--when they post a limited-edition release (like clear vinyl) after it's for sale somewhere else. I'd like this one, but I don't feel like double-dipping.Coach wrote:If they want to charge for shipping they can.
oh gotcha, well, I dunno, people seem to like to collect the records in different colors so I guess something for everyoneSimple Torture wrote:I think B might mean--and this is something that I hate--when they post a limited-edition release (like clear vinyl) after it's for sale somewhere else. at the end of the day, there are those who will collect and those who complain.Coach wrote:oh gotcha, well, I dunno, people seem to like to collect the records in different colors so I guess something for everyoneSimple Torture wrote:I think B might mean--and this is something that I hate--when they post a limited-edition release (like clear vinyl) after it's for sale somewhere else. there are always going to be both positive and negative opinions here.dad wrote:at the end of the day, there are those who will collect and those who complain.Coach wrote:oh gotcha, well, I dunno, people seem to like to collect the records in different colors so I guess something for everyoneSimple Torture wrote:I think B might mean--and this is something that I hate--when they post a limited-edition release (like clear vinyl) after it's for sale somewhere else. I bought a CD online at Easy Street (I think, we'll see) and the vinyl from a store in Denmark on Discogs and it was $90 total despite both being at retail price. So the Ten Club is probably not a worse option than that.liebzz wrote:What a run of non-commital posts.
Whichever.
Oh I'm old and it's a lot of money for a cd/recordliebzz wrote:Yeah I am not mad at the shipping cost. I was giving folks a heads up since that can make or break a purchase deck on. $60+ for a double album is a lot of money - it is the same cost at base ($44-$48) as the RSD release so no judgment. Just a fact that it is a lot of money. I mean maybe I am aging myself but I remember thinking it was a lot to spend $30 on that.
At the VERY LEAST, they could have given us a heads up that it would be available after RSD. With 15,000 black copies out there, I would have waited and tried to get the clear. I can't collect all the colors, but since I'm paying whatever the fuck I'm paying for Ten Club membership and getting jack shit, a little notice would have been nice.dad wrote:at the end of the day, there are those who will collect and those who complain.Coach wrote:oh gotcha, well, I dunno, people seem to like to collect the records in different colors so I guess something for everyoneSimple Torture wrote:I think B might mean--and this is something that I hate--when they post a limited-edition release (like clear vinyl) after it's for sale somewhere else.
