Throughly enjoyed last night’s show - my tenth overall and first since 2009.
Took a bit of getting used to seeing them as a stadium band but couldn’t fault their or the crowd’s energy levels.
Enjoyed all the recollections posted here of last night. The only one I’ll add is that Mike was jamming on No Secrets by The Angels towards the end of the Porch jam which was cool to hear, especially after he said in the Zane Lowe interview that he wanted to play the song on this tour.

I did not pick the No Secrets nod. I'll definitely listen for that on the boot. The Angels were legit.

Inside Job took me back to NYC in 2006, sounded top notch.
Pretty great setlist all round, actually fairly similar to NYC night 2.
Was 2nd from the front in front of Mike and the crowd behind us was immense.
One of the top shows I’ve been to. Bring on Monday!
Any chance you’d run your ranking horizontal in your signature? I mistake it for a setlist post all the time.
2024. Just did my first “foes.” Oh my God, I wish I could do this in real life. Lovely.
Love you.

Thanks for that. I knew I recognised it but couldn't put my finger on it. Would love to hear them bang out an Angels tune. Ed could do a decent Doc impersonation I think.
Also - this might have come up already - but I put eruption down on that set. It wasn't eruption really, not sure what it was and not sure what the riffs were at the end. Mike just playing?

Just looking at the set lists for the 3 shows I've been to and I somehow have gotten Why Go at all 3. Think my streak may be broken tomorrow.

Are they using the time during Eruption or Mike solo to get ready for Wreckage? Has it usually been before Wreckage?

Once before Wreckage and once before I Got ID.
To be honest when he has been shredding it I haven't paid any attention to anyone else on stage.

at the gold coast show, after even flow, ed went over to mike and asked him to do “eruption”. also, during the even flow solo, ed went over to the side of the stage and put his hands on his knees for like a full minute just exhausted. hope he’s doing alright health-wise. all the others in the band seem healthy as fuck.

looking at the hand-written melbourne setlist, it appears to be a late addition also.

I definitely get the sense Eruption is something Ed requests so he can take a breather.

He’d be better off going off stage during the Even Flow solo. There’s a perfect 2 minute breather.

You are a lucky man. My sister knew Doc and saw them live stacks of times. I never did.
Seen them with Dave Gleeson up front and they ae still very good but it ain't the same.

I’ve witnessed him doing this several times to have a smoke during EF.

We are very very lucky to have such a dedicated (and somewhat crazy) fan base.
