Guys, Pendulum sounds a lot like the Ghost House music from Super Mario World:

Absolute best song on the record.
One of the best they ever did.

Its a beautiful song, perfectly placed in the middle of the record. Sadly Swallowed Whole cannot follow up...Yellow moon should have followed and then LTRP maybe..
A bit of the Cure in this one..

The tracklisting on LB doesn't make sense in many cases.
They just don't work together, many of them.

I think it'd be better if done like this:

1. Getaway
2. MYM
3. MFS
4. Infallible
5. Pendulum (and make it 5 minutes long at least)
6. Sirens
7. Swallowed Whole
8. Lightning Bolt
9. LTRP
10. Yellow Moon
Hidden Track: SBM

Song is about as perfect as they can get..other than it is 2 minutes too short!

Mystifying that this is so popular. I think the moodiness is so welcome that it's obscuring the fact that this is barely a song. And, yes, it's insane that the end isn't a minute-long percussion jam.

I couldn't see where people were coming from when they were saying CC is barely a song, but I can see it with this. It feels like a sketch of a song and the lyrics seem kinda placeholdery. But still, I really enjoy listening to it.

I wanted to say exactly this when Cold Confession got released.

There's definitely an element of truth in this.

Not sure on Pendulum yet, I feel like it could go either way for me at this point.

It's actually way more composed and structured as a song than I thought it was going to be; from the earliest descriptions, I was expecting a more straight up noise/mood thing, that didn't really have a structure.

Yeah, it's more structurally tight than Cold Confession.

At least with Cold Confession, there were lyrics. The words here are just everything that rhymes with "oh." Probably took him five minutes to write.

The lyrics weren't better on CC.

These are both really good songs. I think the music is better on pendulum, but the lyrics on cold confession are some of eddie's very best.

I probably need to read them again, tbf. But the song didn't interest me enough.
