I know this is very irrational of me, because he's a fantastic drummer. But I don't want him to be the next pearl jam drummer if he's going to hold his drumstick like that.

He already held his sticks like that (traditional grip) in the Alive video!

You can't be serious.

And yes, I do think it's important we remember that Josh Klinghoffer killed a guy.
Yeah, I'm not joking. It legitimately bothers me. It nudges the band into "justice but only when it's politik" territory to have someone on stage with them who was barely if at all held accountable for ending someone's life in a manner 100% preventable and 100% their fault. I mean, they didn't even miss a beat. He was back out on the road with them while the police were still investigating.

that's fine to think that. its annoying to read about it here every time someone brings the guy up. we all know what happened, we don't need to be reminded constantly, even if some of these weirdos think its funny.

edit: how does josh hold his drum sticks?

What about Mark Guiliana? He plays jazz and rock and holds his sticks "matched grip."

That work for everyone?

He recently got off the road with St. Vincent.
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…
