Yeah. I am getting tweets confused. He has made a lot of derogatory comments about Nolan though. Surely you have seen them?
He called Nolan a worm. He's big mad, like Burt. Autistic bigot is the worst genre of bigot.

It sounds like you want to like it because it owns the MAGAts. Surely you can see the hypocrisy here.
Are you retarded?
The point isn't that the movie must be good because it's woke. The point is that critiquing the film for casting people of different races than in the book is reprehensible.
It depends on the movie really, and what the makers are going for, and why they cast who they cast. Sure, hating on any movie just because it has a black person in it is stupid, but then again so is casting someone of a different race where it isn't appropriate to the particular movie. But I'm not exactly sure what Nolan is trying to do with this goofy looking movie, so whatever.

I suspect that isn't actually the case for some of you.
What exactly do you suspect?

You two should start a Children of Blood and Bone thread.

The MAGAts brought this ownage on themselves. It’s such a one-sided culture war. The vast majority of people going to see this won’t even be aware of the attempted controversy.

It's definitely not one sided, as this thread can attest.

Nice try. I'm not going to engage in your attempt at a culture war! Go watch Troy

You seem upset that people aren't going because they don't like the casting (for many different reasons, which most of you insist on reducing to racism because it's easier}. You seem as engaged in the culture wars as they are.

Ironically, The Wiz is a great example of why the race of the actors involved are necessarily intertwined with the story being told. You can't swap out the races in that movie without impacting it.
In other movies it doesn't matter. Like I said, it depends.
