As I sit with this more, I'm very disappointed that the Sheriff faced no consequences for Hal's death. The whole season was "Who killed Hal?" and even though we got an answer, but consequences of Hal's death were literally nil.

She has to live with the fact she killed the man she loved. Thems consequences enough.
