I really hope they start playing this more regularly, as often as (or instead of) Unthought Known would be nice :nice:
fuck yeah, i cant stand UK these days. I used to like it, but we have LB now so...

Am I the only person who likes UK more than pretty much everything on the new album? Maybe I'm just used to it more now or something.

Problems with acronyms - actually, to me and virtually everybody else on the planet outside of Kentucky the UK stands for the United Kingdom.

But I'll take "Unthought Known" over virtually everything else on Backspacer and virtually all of Lightning Bolt. Different strokes for different blokes and all.

Name shortening for the purpose of being lazy on the internet. Pfffff.

Anyway, assuming I want to purchase a bootleg from Leg 1 of this tour, am I right in thinking Baltimore is probably going to be the show?

No. That was my least favorite of my 3 2013 shows. Charlottesville is hyped.

Listening to Ed trying to cajole American crowds into doing the godawful DTE football chant is embarassing. I also don't think I've heard a single version where the band manage to transition to the next part of the song following the chant with any success. It's a mess, every time.

It's great if it happens organically, but when he tries to force it, it's terrible. It's not Alive or something like that, the casual fans dont go for it.

Yeah, it just ruins the song if the crowd doesnt get into it right away. At first I had no idea what he was doing, and why they were extending that part. I realized what he was trying to do and I was like "this isnt Buenos Aires."

Whether it's organic or not, Do The Evolution isn't the type of song I want to see extended pieces in. It ruins the punch of the song.

I was in the pit at Worcester II and it seemed to fit perfectly. I thought it worked great, helped that it was early in the set I think. And, of course, I was standing next to a group of dudes from Slovakia. And I had just got done sharing a nice rolled piece of the earth with them. One dude kept holding up a sign for Strangest Tribe. :haha:

By the way, this Buffalo boot is killer. The mix is golden. And Swallowed Whole is swallow-riffic
