Right. Because the drummer is horrible
What do you think about the Soundgarden drummer?

This one seems semi-retired now, huh?

Not played at all in 2025, played only once in both 2023 and 2024.

Now that you mention it
Its low cost on Ed’s vocal and a huge crowd favourite
Strange that it’s gone
Isn’t it great they have such an abundance to choose from and sometimes stuff gets forgotten

When the last time it was played? Anyone know?

i love matt cameron but there is no one that plays this like Dave A so they might as well never play it again unless it is with Dave A and after a notarized apology from Ed and free lifetime huevos rancheros from that diner where stone fired Dave A

Birds in Hell wrote:I don't know, changing drummer can fundamentally change the feel of a band's songs to the point where it's not enjoyable. I saw the reformed Black Sabbath twice and I spent both shows being really annoyed by the guy they had on drums. Plenty of people feel that way about Om after Emil Amos took over on drums, etc.
These are both absolutely correct. What I loved about the Jack Irons era was how the band played around him. Their grooviest period I think. The version of Go from the Give Way concert (that sadly didn't make the official disc) is great. I sure wish we had the same volume of official recordings from his tenure, especially 1997-1998.

Ed definitely struggles to hit the notes in the chorus now, it was played tuned down the last few times they tried it:

In one step closer to indulging this fantasy, someone has combined the sole 2023 version of the song played by the band with Dave Abbruzzese's drum demo of the song from his YouTube channel, also recorded that same year:

I don’t agree but whoever was doing the lights there and Ed and the lads showing up massive siillouhetts on the screen behind. That’s gorgeous.

According to Dave, he doesnt get royalties. I think he opted/or they opted for a straight buyout at the time.

Which part do you disagree with?

(Also, how did you mess up the quoting in that post so badly??)

I’m barely sentient at that time of night sorry :)

I don’t think he struggles with it at all? One of those things though if you’re in the room it’s a different experience
