Top 3 is solid, but this list is a farce!

I'm all for folks re-tallying things at some later date, but I was not extending myself past this week for this shit. I've got a newborn to take care of.
Beck's my front runner for next year's list.

It's our list. If you think it sucks and you didn't put a list in then go and shove your head up your own arse. If it's not "out there/alternative/weirdo-only-I-listen-to-it" enough for you, mayhaps you need to consider grabbing a life at some point.
Sorry...I saw Bruce Springsteen tonight and my life has changed. Amazing stuff (although I readily admit I am a very simple man). I do smile a he'll of a lot though...

So seeing Bruce Springsteen changed your life and inspired you to lash out against "out there/alternative/weirdo-only-I-listen-to-it" music and to tell people they should "go and shove your head up your own arse" and "consider grabbing a life at some point"?
Somewhere, I'm pretty sure Bruce is really proud.

I did move the deadline.
From the beginning this was a shitty list bc people around here were not into it... I suggest you all get a head start on next year and listen to Morning Phase.

My top nine or so wouldn't change anything, but here it is:
Like Clockwork / Queens Of The Stone Age
Reflektor / Arcade Fire
Random Access Memories / Daft Punk
Push The Sky Away / Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Fade / Yo La Tengo
Fuzz / Fuzz
Wakin On A Pretty Daze / Kurt Vile
Sleeper / Ty Segall
Mechanical Bull / Kings Of Leon

Shit, I was a tad hostile wasn't I? Sorry, pissed and poorly behaved. You have my humble apologies RM.
My rant was more born out of the true comment above that from the start we weren't really into it as a group, which kinda bummed me out.
Anyways, time to step away from the keyboard for a whiles methinks. Carry on.

It's cool, friend.
Glad you enjoyed The Boss, though. It's amazing what him and his band are capable of.

There are, of course, some other well regarded albums out there that could have made my list if I'd had enough time to digest them all.

It was a shitty list from the beginning because lists like that are inevitably shitty. There's just different degrees of shitty depending on who makes them but all it ever really is is "what are the most popular albums this year" and since everyone already knows the answer to that question there's not much to do with it except congratulate ourselves for being so unoriginal.
