it's times like these, when barbacoas are blanding and moles are chickening, that we need thodoks the most
This sounds like great Thanksgiving leftover option. How'd it turn out?spike wrote:turkey breast au jus sandwiches
we slow cooked the turkey overnight and slept in just a bit, so it overcooked some, but once the sandwiches were dipped, dryness was no longer an issue. the au jus was just stock, onions, some rosemary and thyme, and the drippings; very tasty.EJ wrote:This sounds like great Thanksgiving leftover option. Does sound really good. Do you think it would work with leftover turkey or would that just be too dry to attempt?spike wrote:we slow cooked the turkey overnight and slept in just a bit, so it overcooked some, but once the sandwiches were dipped, dryness was no longer an issue. the au jus was just stock, onions, some rosemary and thyme, and the drippings; very tasty.EJ wrote:This sounds like great Thanksgiving leftover option. it'd work, you'd just have to save the bird drippings and make the au jus separately i guess.EJ wrote:Does sound really good.
