Okay, maybe they are that awful. They're on a 36-126 pace. They're collectively hitting .232 with three home runs in their first eighteen games.

Tell me again how much pitchers are desperately needed.... because Aybar is awful. He's worse in the lineup than Simmons, and he's horrible in the field.

If Newcomb and Ellis aren't aces, that trade was stupid.

They're going to be pretty terrible the next couple years, so it's not like there was much value added to the team by keeping Simmons.

and Erick Aybar again proves he's the absolute worst player in baseball.

Could have had 6 more cheap years of the best defensive shortstop in baseball.... instead...the worst trade since Wainwright going into the new ball park.

Fun Fact: exactly 50 players are currently tied with the Braves in HR.

We have hot minor league prospects!

Lots of buzz lately that they're interested in Bud Black managing next season.

What's special or even enticing about Bud Black?

It went so well in San Diego?

7-23. This is the worst constructed professional collection of "talent" I've ever seen.

At least Simmons made this shit roster fun to watch. Aybar can't even field routine double play balls cleanly.

There are hundreds of high school, pro and college players not to mention minor league guys who should be occupying the space that Aybar is wasting daily. He may be worse than BJ.

My lord do we have bad ownership and talent evaluation in this city. It sucks all over, but this is the shittiest collection of talent people have ever tried to sell in my lifetime, and that's saying something for Atlanta.

It's been twenty years since the Braves won their one title and have down graded from so-so to bad the past few seasons. The Falcons were good for a five year stretch but had exactly one playoff win to show for it; they're now back to the same team I grew up with and would be surprised to see them get six wins this year. Last year's Hawks showed the city would support them if they win but it was back to the same ole mediocracy. College football is king here but the state's flagship program hasn't won a big boy game in forever; their biggest recent accomplishment was a really close loss three and half years ago.
And people ask me why I've stopped caring about sports lately.

The Braves have hosted seven teams so far this season. Each of those teams has at least as many wins in Atlanta as the Braves have.

Pretty sure they will call up a ton of people once they are past the super 2 deadline, but I'd be pretty amazed if they find a way to win 50. There's a good chance this is the worst professional baseball team ever constructed.

and they continue to allow Erick Aybar to mail it in night after night and steal money. Why that guy is employed I have no earthly idea. A trash can between 2nd and 3rd would field better.

It could get slightly more interesting showcasing all the young pitchers, and I'm sure they'll make a big deal about the draft, but yeah, it's awful at this point.

This team has actually become not awful; 24-24 in their last 48 games.

they're grooming TP to be the manager next year, right?
