lefty wrote:While it's not as strenuous as everyone else running, I just got in a 15 minute walk at work. I've been trying to get at least 50 minutes or so of walking each day while at work as well as taking the stairs all the time rather than the elevator. I've also been walking some in the evenings and what have you. I had gained about 20 pounds over the last 14 months or so since moving to a desk job. I had started some light running a several months ago and lost about 10 of those pounds, but then I started having a lot of back pain and quit exercising for a while. So I gained that all back, and now I'm trying to ease my way back into it while also losing some weight with a better diet. Down about 5 lbs so far.

For those that don't run, this could also be an "exercise for XX minutes a day" streak.

Even though I've only been walking lately, I've still been using the Endomundo app to track some kind of estimate of calories burned. I've been shooting for at least 500 per day or 3,500 per week. So you could also do a xxx burnt calories club, which I've seen on some other fitness sites have. Just another idea.

I get a lot of workout in swinging a golf club badly.

Not to take anything away from how well he's doing, but the fact that I think to myself that I need to be like Peeps both bewilders and depresses me.

Only did 4 miles. But I split them in half with 40 minutes of stair work. Brutal.

Too cold and icy to ride either yesterday or today. Did hit the weights for 45 minutes yesterday at a good tempo. Will do the same today and swim 600m. As for my laziness factor, I managed to put away just over two pounds of ju-jubes in last three days. Very happy the bag is gone.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

Stairs are brutal, but you'll feel like a rocket on your next run.
