read what peeps has been doing, dude is shrinking away on uslefty wrote:While it's not as strenuous as everyone else running, I just got in a 15 minute walk at work. I've been trying to get at least 50 minutes or so of walking each day while at work as well as taking the stairs all the time rather than the elevator. I've also been walking some in the evenings and what have you. I had gained about 20 pounds over the last 14 months or so since moving to a desk job. I had started some light running a several months ago and lost about 10 of those pounds, but then I started having a lot of back pain and quit exercising for a while. So I gained that all back, and now I'm trying to ease my way back into it while also losing some weight with a better diet. Down about 5 lbs so far.
For those that don't run, this could also be an "exercise for XX minutes a day" streak.turned2black wrote:Anyone interested in starting some kind of running streak? Say, at least 4 miles a day? Outside... inside... doesn't really matter. Anyone?

Stairs are brutal, but you'll feel like a rocket on your next run.durdencommatyler wrote:Only did 4 miles. But I split them in half with 40 minutes of stair work. Brutal.
