I was enjoying Vienna until this stretch of songs:
Long Road
Can't Keep
Black
Last Exit
Why Go
Spin the Black Circle
Hail, Hail
Got Some
Lightning Bolt
Mind Your Manners
Severed Hand
I Got Shit
Amongst the Waves

Rain
Even Flow
Sirens
Wishlist
Rats
Public Image
Do the Evolution
Rearviewmirror
I bailed at that point but I might try again from, say, Rats onwards.

Why? Just curious. I haven't been following the recent boots.

give rats a miss..it's weirdly impotent..first half of the set is killer..MC coming out of songs and going directly into the next is a cool move

They're fine. Certainly no worse than any other recent shows. Ed's lyrical blank spots aside, I think the band seem to be playing quite well.

Revisiting some of the 2011 shows for the sake of comparison, it confirmed that I don't much care for the mix on the shows from the 2013 and 2014 shows. It feels almost absurd to complain after how awful the 2008-2010 shows sounded but I would really love to hear Stone and Mike's guitars return to the kind of prominence they had on the 2000 and 2003 bootlegs. Ya hear me, Eliason? Turn 'em up!

I said it after Brooklyn and probbaly a good time to say it again, but i've never heard the band play better than this LB stretch..sadly ed is becoming the weakest link in a lot of ways, but man, the lads are making up for it..tighter than a nuns cunt right now..

So it's Eliason's mix, and not the performances, that stink this time around? Jesus. Will wonders never cease.

Oh no, some of the performances are still pretty smelly too.

Well, I'm looking forward to your compilations. I haven't bought any official boots since Philly 2009 (I wanted to hear if it was really as bad as I witnessed - and it was). As I've said before, that was where I drew the line. Just as long as I'm not missing anything great, I'll be fine.

Don't get me wrong, the mixes aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination.

Oh, this will be something a little closer to home (my home, anyway).

Oh cool, I'm going to get back to work on my Big Day Out comp soon - will be interesting to see how much we overlap.

As has been my standard practice in recent times, mine will be a relatively brisk (dare I say punchy) 80 minutes or thereabouts.
