It was awful and embarrassing. 3/10 could've used a Meryl Streep

I'd pay good money to see Meryl Street star as Deadpool.

Well, it's playing at the nicest movie theater in my hometown, and it's a half-priced matinee, and I'm just really curious about it. The movie actually starts in about an hour.

Most of the jokes landed though some were over-the-top cringey and juvenile. Good performances all around, the pacing was a bit wonky and I could've done without the constant breaking of the fourth wall. It also felt overlong. Could've been about a half hour shorter. 5/10.

The above post refers to The Big Short, which I chose to watch instead of Deadpool.

Sounds good! I'm going to hit a matinee tomorrow, then if I deem it worthy, I'll bring hubby.

I more or less agree with this, kinda? About 40% of the jokes were good, most were just hacky. The only parts that made me laugh really hard were the music cues. The CGI was bad and the story was pretty standard template tragic-origin-story stuff, just lampshaded beyond the point of comprehension. I guess if you love Deadpool you'll love this movie. I don't really like Deadpool.
