Yeah, that's not quite it. Maybe relaxed and mellow in the context of a classic/hard rock album. Most of these songs are not very fast or aggressive.

There is a patience to them that is surprising for a debut album (though it wasn’t stone and Jeff’s first rodeo). The ten songs are in no rush to get to the point and hang around after the song is over

that's the essence of what the PRAMG has been missing, imo

Almost every album since no code has been missing that. Present tense was its last real moment until maybe seven o’clock

Krusen's drumming is nowhere near as snappy and aggressive as Abbruzzese's was on the subsequent albums, he has a much more laid-back feel.

Yeah, I mean I can’t say I ever really notice Dave Krusen’s drumming specifically, which could be a good thing depending on perspective.

this is very clear on songs like Once, which is almost too laid back and jazzy for the music over it

Loved hearing Krusen again at the Hall Of Fame. Great feel.
