The percussion on Life Wasted is hilarious.

I'm not going to say that these songs are the greatest thing since Pearl Jam formed or anything, but it reaffirmed my hatred of Brendan O'Brien's recent work with the band.

That guy needs to fuck off.

There's a much warmer, real, less plastic band under the hood somewhere that I hope surfaces again. I'll take a different production over his polished turd slinging any day.

That is the bed track of Life Wasted from the album. I'd have to listen to the Severed Hand album version but the drums sound similar, they may have sped up this bed track. Big Wave is an earlier drum track for sure.
