That second review I posted goes into some better recent examples of rebooting that worked. Jurassic World in particular, which though it wasn't a great movie, actually managed to excite people about it and pump intrest back into the franchise.

God knows, my 8 year old is now begging to watch the original.

Alan Taylor is maybe the worst working director. The whole movie is seriously plot exposition. It's insane.

So it is well known I'm a sucker for mindless action flicks (Battleship, Battlefield: L.A., John Cater, etc). That being said, this was just bad .

Terminator Salvation wasn't a horrible movie, why didn't they continue on with that story line? This was all over the place and they didn't even make an attempt to cover up the countless faults with their time jumping bullshit.
