one day we'll all wake up and realize that we created stip, collectively, out of a need to pit ourselves against an "other," an entity of pure disgust and hatred. when that day comes, we will find ourselves without a purpose, and we will dither our remaining days waiting for death.

Which are...what exactly? I don't mean to seem hostile, i'm just curious what you'd have him do that wouldn't just make him sound further like an out-of-depth caricature.
I said confront, not mimic. I don't feel that every voice can inherently translate into other genres. Ed has many skills, but I'm not sure that one of them is being able to maintain his personality while grappling with something closer to a genre lift. With Costello, you gave a good example before of an artist who can.

Rocking in the Free World is a fun and enjoyable closer in person.

How much difference would it make if you just stopped playing songs off versus other than Go.

Before we go any further, I propose we make a separate thread in which we determine the popularity and unpopularity of each aspect of Pearl Jam's career. This thread should be locked until the other thread runs it's course.

Oh, we will also need a third thread to determine in what context those things are popular and unpopular. We cant go around calling No Code popular if we are stating this in a global mass market context. That would be ridiculous.

A fourth thread discussing ways in which we can include non-patriarchal viewpoints in the data is probably also necessary.

We should probably also start a thread for stats.

Of course. We may need a new subforum.

Remember that poster who claimed he had devised a mathematical formula to provide stats about how good each Pearl Jam song was?

He promised us so much, but delivered nothing in the end.
