Of all the cuts, Cole and Mesko were the toughest to take. Good guys, decent players given their roles.
Agreed. Mesko was a giant in terms of giving back and charity work in Boston.Self wrote:Of all the cuts, Cole and Mesko were the toughest to take. Good guys, decent players given their roles.

He caught a TD & a bad pass by Brady. So he made a couple mistakes. He's a rooke in the second week give the guy a break.

Sooner than later, I would think. Still, he only gives them 1 weapon at TE. Is that enough?Simple Torture wrote:Please come back, Gronk!
I agree, the good sign is that these guys can beat the guy across from them and create space for the pass to get to them. unfortunately, they can't seem to reel them in. I'm optimistic it will come, but I'm certain it won't magically improve in 10 days time... but as long as they trend up toward the playoffs.Self wrote:A good sign is that he and Thompkins can get open. Now they just have to be in the right spot and hold on to the friggin' thing. The offense could be okay if they can improve. But I'm not a buyer, yet.

I mean, I assume they were thinking, "We can run this once, and it'll work perfectly," but assumed the Jets would wise up to it. Doesn't mean they would have, of course.elliseamos wrote:and as i continue to stare at that gif as i rock back and forth in the fetal position... i'm thinking edelman might have gotten a nice gain on a pass underneath thompkins.
that play/formation should have appeared more than this one time. i don't get it. you have young guys, and you run all these option plays. this play works b/c nobody has to think. flippin' old mcdaniels...
but that's what i'm saying, based on how the D reacted to 3 OTs on the field and a quick snap, Brady had three guys that were open and he connected with the guy that was able get the TD. Even running out of that set would have been nice. It just seems odd to me.Simple Torture wrote:I mean, I assume they were thinking, "We can run this once, and it'll work perfectly," but assumed the Jets would wise up to it.
