i haven't seen war of the worlds, but i'm a fan of both minority report and collateral (need to watch this one again though)

I'm sure you'll love War of the Worlds. I just couldn't wait for that goddamn thing to be over. It's such a fucking nightmare. A missed opportunity and a clusterfuck.

I can't imagine what opportunities were missed? All things considered, it's probably the single best movie made about 9/11.

Well, I suppose I'll have to watch this piece of shit again, too. Only this time I'll ponder 9/11 while I watch it. god help me...

Regardless of the movie, Cruise is goddamn fantastic in Collateral.

I mean, yeah, if you like over acting or acting that revolves around a wig, sure.

I'm being a tad overly dramatic because it's a slow Saturday. I should watch Collateral again, honestly. I didn't care for it but I'm sure I missed some of the nuance. And Cruise honestly didn't bother me, from what I remember. You may very well be right and I'll eat a ton of crow once I watch it again.

My previous list was off the top of my head. I reserve the right to change my mind. But I really do remember thinking that the performance was flat and then OVER THE TOP and then flat and then OVER THE TOP and the WIG!

I should see it again. I just hate Michael Mann so much.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
