Re: Netflix: Wet Hot American Summer (Series)
I totally understand why people don't like it. I even understand why people would say it's just okay. It's a very specific kind of humor. But, for my money, and this is just me, I'd say it's my all time favorite comedy. When people ask me "what's the funniest movie you've ever seen?" my answer is always, without thinking, Wet Hot.
But that's just me. I don't expect people to have the same reaction. The movie just gets me. Hits me right in the juniper sweets.

It's witty. A witty, very dry humor.durdencommatyler wrote:I totally understand why people don't like it. I even understand why people would say it's just okay. It's a very specific kind of humor. "Dry" is definitely not a word I would use to describe either the series or the movie.

It's soaking wet, and hot, and American, and summer.

But it borders on cliche at times (the movie). and over the top at times. Like I said, I enjoyed it, but some of it was too much.

Re: Netflix: Wet Hot American Summer (Series)
Cliche, I don't get. Other than when it's satirizing a genre. And the over the top humor is what I love the most. It's a large part of why the series isn't as good, to me, as the movie.@SkitchP wrote:Mecca wrote:It's witty.
