i actually had the tesla (solar city) guy come to the house last fall to give an estimate on roof panels and their whole-house storage battery ... it was like $30k so i passed
have heard good things about natural gas backup generators
nat gas is cheap and they hook right up to the line

I think I’ve posted about this before. Google Maps has a solar thing where you give your address and they estimate the value of solar. My payback period was like 20 years or something so I passed when we remodeled the house.

Yeah I passed for the same reason. We do heat our pool with traditional panels and it rocks. We have great exposure.
