I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

It was probably La La Land.
I'm pretty sure, after thinking about it, that it was Avatar. Which is a way worse movie than either Blade Runner 2049 or La La Land.
I've never seen Avatar :bammer:
It's fine. There are worse things. But I was really glad that I saw it in theaters. I tried watching it at home (well, at a friend's home) once and I couldn't bother finishing the thing. Whatever it does well, it needs the big screen experience.

I also think it holds no repeat viewing qualities. I saw it once at home and enjoyed it. Tried to watch it since with absolutely 0 luck.

There you go. That's totally possible. It's a pretty shallow film that doesn't really require your repeated attention. You kinda get it the first time.

For this movie, though, it is about the scale. Picture quality too, yes, but you have that at home. But this is great on a HUGE screen, LV.
