Just like you have a policy of doing the opposite of everything I want, I have a policy of being a dick to you at every given opportunity. Sometimes I have to take innocent people down with you.

Maybe he just doesn't understand how to drink alcohol. He is brain damaged.

Well, the second half was a slog all right. Probably could have condensed the whole thing into about two episodes. The last one was torture.
I'm over it.

That scene with Claire and the Russian ambassador in the women's restroom was pretty fucking awesome.

did I miss this, what episode?
I am only through ep 3, and it feels like its going downhill quickly. too much focus on Claire.

I'm only 4 episodes in and this has been my biggest issue with this season so far.
Doug Stamper's been the only highlight early on.

I disagree with most of you. I think Claire's a far more interesting character than Frank. He's so one-dimensional it's sickening.

I agree about Claire.

I thought there was too much focus on Doug this season. There's no show without Claire. She's the puppeteer.

Finished s3 last night, I was pretty happy it. What an asshole that Putin character was. I never expected one of the major storylines to revolve around Doug, but I liked his arc a lot.

I never really connected with a lot of this season. Something just felt... off. In the previous seasons I think Frank was kind of that anti-hero type- a complete asshole who would do whatever he needed to in order to get what he needed. But you still kind of rooted for him.
Hell in each of the first 2 seasons he personally killed off main characters. This season it felt like everything was going on around him, and he didn't seem to have any of the ruthlessness that carried the show. This year he was just kind of.... the good guy. And it made him kind of dull. There were a couple moments where he was a jerk for a minute, but even that felt forced. I still enjoyed it, but this season was not nearly as compelling as the previous 2.

i guess you can't have the leader of the free world murdering people (except through drone strikes). this show pussed out.

Claire carried the show until now. This season, she was a trainwreck, so I don't really have much interest in watching anymore. This season seemed like a lot of Frank trying to bully everyone and completely failing every single time. Meanwhile everyone on Earth is telling Claire, who is pretty much as evil as Frank, to leave. It was all just soap opera melodrama.
I did like Putin though (the season tanked after he left).

Agreed, Doug is money.
The Putin type guy was brilliant. Always a step ahead when Frank thought he could play him.

Hate is too strong a word. I think I was just super disappointed with how Season 3 went down.
