What
I think... "(God's dice if we discount Soon Forget)
I think so. I was listening to that future days rearrangement when I typed that.

But who knows, really?

Faithful is...ok...it honestly is my second-to-last one on Yield. I want to like it but...I hate the "we're faithful we all believe we all believe it" lyrics. I do like the intro guitar...in general I like the non-loud parts

Faithful might be the band's best song.

Off he goes is beautiful music brought low by painfully self indulgent and ham fisted lyrics.

faithful is just kinda boring. I'm not in love with the riff or the tone, and I don't sense the interplay everyone else goes on about. The lyrics are too on the nose (the sentiment is okay), and the chorus is way too repetitive. I don't think it's a memorable performance by Eddie either. It's not bad. There aren't really any bad songs on yield. It's just okay. It was this or In Hiding but In Hiding has a great pre-chorus.

Unemployable has lyrics that are too judgmental to be empathetic, a Shania Twain moment way worse than anything in LTRP, and I really dislike the sheen on Eddie's voice.

I will never understand the low opinion of "Wishlist" around here

for me, i'm comparing it to the other songs on my favorite PJ album. i'm not saying it's bad. it's just the song that i like the least.

plus, i hate when ed does that thing where he pretends his guitar is a mirror and reflects the light off the crowd.

I love Off He Goes's lyrics, they definitely don't seem ham fisted to me, nearly every line I read seems to just roll right along.
Faithfull could be silence, 30 second bridge, and then silence for the entire song and it'd still be one of the best.
I still don't find much wrong with Unemployable's lyrics. I definitely feel for the character in the song as I've been there myself, well except for the Jesus ring, those are pretty stupid.

Unemployable has a very special meaning to me. I got the Ten Club release of Avocado in the mail the Friday before its release date. Listened to it about 30 times over the weekend. Unemployable hit me just right with the music, but the lyrics had no real meaning for me. Until Monday. I went to work as usual, and about 2 hours into the workday, the owner came in and closed our office. Had no warning or anything. And we were the "home office." He came in, told us he was moving everything and we were all fired. After that, I had a VERY strong connection with the character in the song. And it shot right to the top of PJ songs for me.

And I hope beyond all hope they play it Tuesday in Lexington.

A similar thing with me and "MFC". It's not that I dislike it-- I think the chorus could've used some more work, but I like the song just fine. Everything around it is just so much stronger. Yield is a great album.
