it's not long enough to pad the length substantially, and is there entirely to help flesh out the mood of the album

Also filler doesn't HAVE to be bad. I like Soon Forget and Sleeping By Myself a lot but Im not going to act like those songs really had to be there.

technically no song had to be there

soon forget definitely adds something to binaural, it helps flesh out the worldview/statement of the album (whether you like it or not)

Bugs, from the first listen, has never been filler. Deep is my favorite song on Ten, it's probably the one song I'd be most likely to put on/seek out/put in a mix out of all of Ten. Pearl Jam could've put songs such as Alone, Wash, or Footsteps on Ten, but they decided on Deep because it's fuckin' awesome.

mikejasond, maybe you should limit your Pearl Jam listening to this:

that is a pretty good album
