Fiona Apple peaked with Idler Wheel though.tragabigzanda wrote:Like she's irrationally obsessed with a musician who passed their creative peak when you were in high school?bodysnatcher wrote:Fiona is my wife’s all time fave. She never peaked....or has been peaking since 1996.durdencommatyler wrote:Clearly notcutuphalfdead wrote:Fiona Apple peaked with Idler Wheel though.tragabigzanda wrote:Like she's irrationally obsessed with a musician who passed their creative peak when you were in high school?bodysnatcher wrote:Fiona is my wife’s all time fave. Re: The Fiona Apple Thread
Damn this album is incredible. Im really hoping that she will tour Europe this time around. But that's probably never going to happen..
I think she's played a handfull shows here in 1996, and that's it...... Is she afraid of flying or something?

I had the exact same thoughtMcParadigm wrote:I really like this. Also it sounds a lot like turn of the century Ani DiFranco on a few songs (especially the title track).

Since we are talking about if she has peaked, I'll say I'm not convinced yet the new one is better than Idler.

Excellent album, gave it two listens today. I'm not sure if I like it better than The Idler Wheel but I've spent a lot of time with that one. We'll see how it grows. But yes I loved it, some really intense moments

Re: The Fiona Apple Thread
i thought idler wheel was the best of the 2010's so there's no way in hell i can make a real judgment on this for the next year. but it's got potential, like our friend shameika (groan).
