What if I'd mentioned Raindogs and Exile on Main Street but thought your choice was shit?
Then it'd be so? Right before I said we're loose with the definition someone said something about the second half of the record as not being as good as the first half...doesn't sound all that perfect to me, while it could still be a very good record. Not sure where you gathered me saying anyone's choice was shit.

Oh, OK. My bad. :peace:

I'm gonna go along with some of the REMers here and say that New Adventures in Hi Fi is brilliant from beginning to end.

Shannon Yarbrough - Listen to What I'm Made Of.

Dude died after only one album, something like 15 years ago. I still have this album in regular rotation. Very beautiful.

All albums are perfect, until they're released.

That one's in a spot similar to Magnolia Electric Co, although for different reasons.

Magnolia is probably not perfect, but it finds the stories in the lines in my face. Marquee is probably not perfect either, but it makes my fingers twitch and my legs jiggle. By the time I get done, I can actually feel the guitar strap tugging on my shoulder.

Perfect? No. But unrelentingly affecting.

Well put, wordsmith. For what it's worth, I feel the same about Magnolia Electric Co.

Music has it's time. Perfection relates to you and where you are. So I really appreciate so many Yield mentions since I think that was the point that kept me in it. A bridge from my ultimate love of Vitalogy because of where I was in years and life position. I decided to jump back in here because I have such a strong hope for X, after an almost outright abandonment of the band as the alpine valley experience faded and the new approach to ticketing commenced, since ultimately the live experience has been the link since Yield...
