This thread is getting a bit messy. Maybe we should break it off into album threads to minimise confusion.

NAIS - Nurnberg 00 or Sendai 28-02-2003. Detroit 00 has moments but it's not the definitive version.

Porch - Indio 05-11-93. Dave A follows Ed with such intensity. This is the spit at me show the shoeless Fuck me in the brain show.

Even Flow - Boston 94. Dave again owns this. I actually got into this song when this version is playing.

Many more to come.

Monkey_Driven wrote:1/2 Full is a great live song. Lots of good versions to choose from.

This is gonna be a hard one. There are so many great versions.

I think Holmdel 2003 might be the one.

I always thought in 2003 they should have closed a set or first encore with 1/2 Full.

Screw 2003. It should close a first set now.

Is it an idea to have this era-related?

Something like Disc 1: Ten Era tracks > Ten era recordings?

There are enough official bootlegs, vault/legacy releases, or unofficial soundboards to create this I guess..

Not yet settled whether this will be presented by era of track, or era of performance - but it was decided that each track will stand alone, as opposed to being cross-faded into a continuous show (which obviously wouldn't work very well between eras).

Thanks to those who have sent in their spreadsheets so far, I'll wait until I get a few more before I start to consolidate into a shortlist for discussion (I say we do this by era also, an album at a time).

Seems to me the only way to organize this is the same way they organize their actual sets -- fluid randomness. This will avoid the set "building up" to the weakest part of their career.

Agree with this.

Also, Fluid Randomness is my favorite porn.

I vote against ordering this by album/era. I like the more random set list approach.

Another great song unfairly neglected by the band. Should be in far greater rotation. My favorite versions from 2003:
OKC
Orlando
Vancouver
West Palm

Is there a time limit on this?

I haven't yet had time to fill in the spreadsheet but I'm sure I can come up with some suggestions.

No time limit as such, I've received about 5 spreadsheets so far so will wait for a few more before we get started on voting.

My gawd, this is a massive task! I don't think I'll ever complete the spreadsheet Image so I'll just have to content my self with participating in the voting.

"Last Exit" from Calgary 2005 is pretty fucking awesome. Montreal is good too.
