Re: Concerts you've been to recently
Went to Alice in Chains a few weeks ago. I thought it was really good. Greatest hits night, which is what I want from them. It was way too short, only played for about 90 minutes. I liked the Duvall's vocals. It lacked intensity, but it was still good.
Also went to Dave Matthew's. I have never been a fan, but my friends all wanted to go, so my wife I went. Bored, very, very bored. Background BBQ music. We all left early.
Got QOTSA tickets for Cincy. That should be good.

Saw Paul McCartney Friday night at Nationals Park in Washington, DC. Took the whole family and burned a hole in my wallet. Dead center, 18 rows back. I don't even fuckin' care about going to Wrigley Field this Friday. Its hard to imagine I'll ever see a better show for the rest of my life.

I might be able to get to an E-bow.

I just saw Paul McCartney last night in Milwaukee. Unbelievable show and unbelievably hot. 4th time seeing McCartney. Always a great show. It's amazing how good his performances are...he's freakin 71 years old. 2 hours and 45 minutes of hits.

Re: Concerts you've been to recently
It had been a whole since I went to any concerts, but in the last 2 months I saw:
The National (free show in Toronto)
City and Colour/Metric/Jimmy Eat World/Serena Ryder/Yukon Blonde (I really hate City and Colour, he was headlining, so we left shortly after he came on so we could "beat the traffic")
Pearl Jam
I forgot how much I enjoy seeing live music

Band of Horses tonight. It was damn good. They played a bit too much Infinite Arms for my taste, but made up for it with "The Great Salt Lake" and an Archers of Loaf cover. Great show!

Re: Concerts you've been to recently
it was great! his voice, harm, and guitar sounded great, they played an acoustic set sort of acting as their own opening act, and then played a fairly wide ranging set.super nintendo chalmers wrote:At the State? Jim James either just recently played or is going to play up here soon. MMJ would be great there. I saw BoH earlier this year and it sounded tremendous.

I've said it in this thread before, but Beach House is definitely worth seeing live. They put on a killer show these days.VinylGuy wrote:thinking of going to see Beach House, Tame Impala and Ron Carter.
