It's generally regarded as his best, and pretty much my bible, but it's an essay, and not an easy read (but not that hard).

I'm not generally a fan of his and Sartre's plays and novels and such. They are ok and all, but I can see where existentialism gets its reputation for being dreary. Myth of Sisyphus is quite different.

Some people say that The Rebel is his best one, but I haven't read it, and it doesn't exist on audio, so I guess I'll read it when I have time to read a book, which will be never.

I'm trying to get into Wittgenstein. It's not going well.

what's the best answer to nihilism?

Dostoevsky: get religion. don't think about it too much. (I'm not sure about this one)
the stoics: we're fucked, but stop being a pussy about it.
Spengler: We're fucked. No chance of rescue. Man your post, soldier.
Kierkegaard: Take a leap of faith. Let God sort it out.
Stirner: take what you can. give nothing back. A pirate's life for me.
Nietzsche: don't worry, Superman is coming
Camus: rebel. Live as hard as you fucking can.
Sartre: you're absolutely free! go be a communist or something.
Heidegger: live authentically. Also, go be a nazi or something.
Peterson: form a narrative. be a hero.
Freud: fuck your mother (probably)

1. Corporations are legal fictions.
2. Corporate veil protection is a special privilege bestowed by the government, and would not exist otherwise. Investors in corporations should have no special exemptions to taking responsibility for their actions.
3. Corporations cease to exist without government. The special privileges bestowed on them by government cease to exist without government. Thus, corporations are not an element of a free market. They are government institutions.

A pro-corporation position is corporatism, not free market capitalism.

thoughts?

Been a while, but I believe this is what Rand thought (Russian lady, not hypocrite senator)

This is like a huge spoiler for the current time. "Corruption is only an abusive term for the harvest time of a people."
