This worked really well a few years ago, I would be really happy to see it return.

Wilco did this last tour I saw them and it was nice. Like a 45 min mini acoustic set, then back to being "plugged".

you should, and i live in south jersey. i just dont think random people are gonna be able to enforce their own made up rules.

Anyone ever go to a PJ concert by themselves? I may be facing this situation, I was supposed to attend the Hartford show with my fiance but npw she has to work that night, shes a nurse....I really want to see the show but not sure about flying solo...none of my friends can go, my brother said he'd go but he only listens to rap and I dont want go to a PJ show with someone who will be bored....Any advice?

I've done it several times and always found it a lot of fun. Of the handful of positive things about the majority of PJ fans, one of them is that they are typically talkative and inviting to other fans... if you can find the ones you can tolerate.

Actually, I am going to Worcester and NYC solo while the wife babysits, so I feel you, but like bodysnatcher said it's easy to find people to talk to at the show or the pre-show parties. You'll have at least one thing to chat about.

I do this all the time, and have been doing so for years. I never have a problem, but it might just be my personality. It's easier now then ever. Even if you're not the type of person who can just strike up a conversation with a stranger, I'm sure you have a phone or some other electronic gadget you can use to kill time if you get bored before the show starts (or if you get bored during the show).

In a lot of ways I prefer to go to shows by myself.

I am on a business trip Boston next week, (coincidentally it is happening as the same time as the shows ) and I am going alone to both Worcester shows. However, my wife has decided she wants to tag along and do some sightseeing in Boston and take a couple of night off from the kid. His grandparents have been begging to watch him. She does not have tickets, and wouldn't enjoy the shows as much as me anyway. She sort of got burnt out during the Wrigley debacle.

So, yes, I will be attending both Worcester shows alone. 1st night in a single floor seat. 2nd night in GA.

Thanks for the advice guys...ya I went the Hartford show in 2010 with my gf, shes a big PJ fan but mostly just the hits ya know and she got tired toward the end cuz of she worked that day so i had to give her attention while trying to enjoy the last encore...Dont get me wrong i had a great time, i thought it was an Epic show but i thought to myself that night that i shouldve just went by myself......... Phuk it, Im going to give it a go, plus its only 10 min away from my house so......thanks again

I'm lucky enough to have a business trip near Worcester and will be going to the second night solo. It will be my first solo show too but I've always found my fellow Jammers to be good company. I wasn't lucky enough to snag a 10C ticket so I will likely be sitting next to someone that will be screaming for Last Kiss the entire time. But, I am just happy to be in the building. Now, I have a buddy who I've been to 16 shows with and I haven't told him yet that I'm going to the Worcester show. I feel like its telling a girl I'm about to cheat on her.
