Nah. They already have a song about the moon on it. That's enough celestial beings for one album.

Well, they already have a song about vinyl albums as well, but that didn't stop them. Hell, I am pretty sure that all the titles revealed so far are lyric snippets from other PJ songs (except Future Days), so the whole thing could be self referential.
Other than swallowed whole, which ones match up to lyrics?

Lightning Bolt is a reference to Nothingman.

With our luck, they'll release Of the Earth (live), as the b-side.

Is there a legal / judicial phrase like "Let the records show that...?"

Lightning Bolt is a reference to Nothingman.

"Getaway" - used in Of The Girl, escaping the imaged fufilling relationship with a women, vs. God in the new song
"Sirens" - used in Force of Nature, to represent destructive longing, with the image of the tower for the new song implying a more sinister end
etc.

I'm afraid of what I'll do to myself or loved ones if Betterman (live) isn't on Lightning Bolt, so yea, I'd say you have :luv:

Yes but they don't count; they will not be taken up into the sky. The new Faithfull is being formed right here on RM. The future days really are upon us.

Clearly a reference to Given To Fly. This band is all about the nostalgia now.

For the record: I'm totally fine with self-referencing. I don't get people's issue with it. The band / Ed has certain obsessions that run through all of their / his stuff. He's not the only one. I guess as long as they don't keep rehashing their worst ideas, at least it keeps the music entertaining.

Are you trying to wave off criticism of the band's recent production?
