Haha. I was just going to ask about this. Do people watching the show have any inclination of this, though? Or is it only a reader thing? I've bounced between both and am totally confused with book vs. show stuff about now. Heh.

It's subtle, but it's absolutely there in the show. More than a few non-book readers have talked to me about it.

OK, so I think I know the answer to this, but . . .

Tyrion was technically touched (when he got pulled down in the water). But as far as we know, he didn't get the greyscale. So I assume it's because he wasn't touched on the skin, right? (again, this probably pretty straightfoward).

Not much, man. GoT and Mad Men were both outstanding again last night. I'm a little tired from all the enthusiasm and rehashing that the wife and I did last night. We were up way past our bedtime.

I'm assuming STM reaches the gates of Winterfell just as she and Ramsay are about to do the deed--I think it'd be too brutal for Ramsay to rape her on TV, and I just don't see Sansa giving it up to him.

Based on the titles of the next three episodes, I think we're going to get (of course, spoilers follow)...

Spoiler: show: EP 6 - "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" - Lots of Dorne stuff. Sandsnakes abduct Myrcella, Jaime and Bronn get somewhere important.

EP 7 - "The Gift" - Arya makes her first kill as a faceless (wo)man. Meryn Trant?

EP 8 - "Hardhome" - Obviously, battle of Hardhome.

i suspect that for people like me who haven't read the books but follow the show and read and participate in online/watercooler discussion, they have invariably had the prevailing theory 'spoiled' for them already. for people who watch the show only and don't get into the chatter, i would guess they have no clue. while it seems some of the foreshadowing has been far less subtle these last couple episodes, to me the clues haven't been very obvious unless you're looking for them and non-book readers, non-participators certainly are not.

i think this season has been no less than excellent. i, too, could do without the grey worm/missandei garbage and it seems some of the humor in the episodes of late has felt more like bad writing than anything. but those are minor nits to pick. the show feels like it's moving forward every week (despite a lot of actual action) and i am definitely invested in the characters that have been given the majority of the screen time so far. sam + gilly, for example, have been relegated to the sidelines for now, which is a very welcome turn of events in my opinion.

with stannis becoming a likable character, i fear for his immediate future.

I also didn't like how the Boltons had a Stannis/Shireen moment. Too much father declaring love for child going on for my liking. And then Stannis making the less/fewer correction like he did on Blackwater was a bit eye rolling for me. And then the whole scene with grey worm. This might have been my least favorite episode of the season.

Spoiler: show: Yes and no. Technically we're told what happens, but it comes from a very unreliable source. We don't have confirmation that that person wasn't just being a big giant lying asshole.
