The 5th-9th spots in the west are separated by 3 games. Shit is going to get real in the last two weeks of the season.

I hope the Suns can somehow get in...

17 in a row, but the Spurs are going to go about .500 from here on out. Competition gets tougher, but I'm guessing Pop keeps T.P., Duncan and Ginobili's minutes below 25 minutes a game. I'm also guessing Pop is gonna piss off the NBA again by sitting players during some featured games down the stretch (the April 3rd game against OKC comes to mind).

Thibs is the anti Pop in Chicago. Jimmy Butler and Noah played until the bitter end in a game that they never really were in. I love him as a coach but damn it is getting old seeing guys just ground down to dust during meaningless regular season games.

Me too. Honestly, I want 9 teams in the west. It's going to be a shame that a team 15 games or more above .500 will miss the playoffs.

While a team in the East 15 games under .500 gets in.

I wish the Heat had beaten the Pacers just so I could LOL @ the Pacers. It's a little hard to do that considering the Heat just won't take the 1 seed from them despite Indy begging them to do so for the last 6 weeks.

Here's to Indy getting the 1 seed, Miami resting guys and getting healthy going into the playoffs. Oh, and right now the 4-5 matchup would be Chicago-Brooklyn. If that holds, I'd greatly prefer Miami getting the 2 seed.

Your boys are tied for the 3rd seed right now I believe. At this point I'd take the Bulls in 6. A lot can change in a month, and despite the hard time I like to give him the Pacers would have the most talented offensive player in the series in George, so you can't discount them, but man do they look just awful right now.

The Spurs would spank the Heat if they played right now. Makes me glad there's still two months to go.

If Tim Duncan wins a fifth title, is he the most worthwhile #1 overall pick ever? It's gotta be either him or Magic. The Big O, Kareem, Shaq, and LBJ all reached their greatest heights after leaving the team that drafted them. It's possible no #1 pick has done for his franchise what Duncan has, and it's likely none ever will going forward.

Oh, and that one season they didn't win 50 games? The strike-shortened season where they went 37-13 and won the NBA title.

Ridiculous. They've never finished with a lower winning percentage than .610 with him on the roster. Ridiculous.

I'm not a huge Tim Duncan fan but I constantly argue that he is without a doubt the best player after Jordan. Different positions I know but the guy does not get the credit he deserves.
