I’ve read the trade that collects the first Wein/Wrightson run. Great stuff. I have the first issue of the second series before Moore came aboard. That series up thru the end of Moore’s run is on my list of stuff to get.
I started the Scott Snyder run. Might do Moore after that.
I highly recommend the original Wein/Wrightson run. Very nice stuff and gorgeous Wrightson art.

Speaking of Moore, I just started Providence. Would have snatched it up as soon as it came out since I like both Lovecraft and Moore, but I was a bit ambivalent about The Courtyard/Neonomicon and wasn’t sure whether the prequel would emphasize the aspects I liked or the ones I didn’t. So far it’s much better. Jacen Burrows’ illustration is as great as it was for the first two.

I just lucked up and found all four definitive edition volumes of Greg? Rucka’s Queen and Country in a used book store. They’re practically new. I’ve only read a couple of issues of it before but I love Rucka and I love spy stories so I’m very pumped to get started on it.

I'm giving this current FF run a second chance. It's really good.

Yeah. It’s been decades since I’ve read FF with any kind of regularity and I’m really enjoying this.

These were absolutely wonderful. I since learned he wrote three novels that continue the narrative and as an overall work, it’s really quite good. I was very sad when it ended and wanted more.

I also fail to understand how this hasn’t become a Prime or Netflix series or something. It’s just BEGGING to be brought to the screen.

Finished Prometheus/Aliens/AVP/Predator: The Complete Life and Death last night and really enjoyed it. Not sure what I'm going to go with next.

Inked extraordinaire, Doctor Strange artist beyond compare Dan Green passed away. He was a long time favorite. Along with Terry Austin and Bob Wiacek he was in my top three.

I was first introduced to his work over JRjr on X-Men. Then as I would start getting back issues of stuff, I’d see his name on there as inker. Loved him over Byrne on Iron Fist and Avengers. He also pencilled some Doctor Strange that was inked by Austin that was really nice and his painted Doctor Strange graphic novel was beyond fantastic. A true talent, for sure.

Read the first Wolverine: Omnibus and enjoyed it quite a bit. I grew up reading the Batman titles, then added Spider-Man but once Image hit that was my primary focus (other than Bats) so my exposure to the X-Men universe was pretty cursory. Looking forward to some of the future Wolvie arcs.

Started Rachel Rising by Terry Moore and am really enjoying that. Not sure what will be next.

The only thing I’ve read by Terry Moore is Strangers in Paradise. Fantastic book.

Yeah, I have that as well. Having Gaiman's praise on the cover pretty much sold me.

Been there multiple times. Huge TPB/hardcover selection. Pretty much every new comic released. Just don’t have your hopes very high if you’re looking for a particular back issue unless it’s fairly recent. And I wish they had used hardcovers/trades.

Midtown has been in the online game for so long their stock must be pretty lean. Definitely an interesting thought of how they acquire new-old stock, with all the small comic shops out there. I visited a few antique shops last weekend, bunch of comics of all grades and tons of records, hadn't perused media in a while actually.

I was only there once, well over twenty years ago so I can only imagine it has become quite something but the BIG stores in NYC are/were such an awesome thing. The Virgin Megastore was fuckin' tops and Postermat around SoHo was fantastic; FAO Schwarz, M&M World... the BIG Apple.

I was completely indecisive on what to go with next, also found myself a bit stale of the novels I have going and picked up O'Barr's The Crow which I guess I tend to do every 5-7 years. Guts me every. single. time.
