i intend to collect every dimejinky post from this thread, compile them, and submit them for assessment by the american psychiatric association, to determine precisely what psychological phenomenon results in the presence of textual logorrhea

This whole buildup has created a really weird love/hate thing. Every leaked story or casting or rumor has pissed off the fanboys, but every official thing has been heralded as great (ie puppets and models as opposed to CGI).

Interesting to see how this plays out.

Or you could get a real hobby instead of ghosting my posts and thinking you're too clever. Maybe they're clever. Certainly weird that you bother though

Is that from Harry Lime's screenplay?

new leaked plotline rumours
Spoiler: show
Director J.J. Abrams has, as you'd expect, been keeping his plans for Star Wars: Episode VII close to his chest and/or under lock and key at Pinewood Studios where he's shooting the film. But word of the rumoured plot of the film has emerged via Badass Digest, and it all sounds extremely promising - although we would stress that this is not by any means an official announcement. The following seems fairly spoiler-free unless you consider any and all knowledge of the plot spoilerific.

The film will reportedly start with the opening crawl panning to reveal Luke Skywalker's severed hand, still holding the lightsaber that Obi-Wan gave him in the first film. The lightsaber (we're assuming the hand burns up on entry) falls to a desert planet (not necessarily Tattooine) where it is found by Daisy Ridley's character and the character played by John Boyega, who is reportedly a Stormtrooper who has deserted his unit in an attempt to change his life.

They recognise it as a Jedi relic, set out to learn more and meet Han and Chewie, who recognise its origin and tell them that its owner has not been seen in 30 years, since the events of Return Of The Jedi. Meanwhile on an ice planet, someone is building a new and more powerful super-weapon.

There are a few more details on Badass, so head over there for more on their scoop. In the meantime, we will have to wait to see if there is any official confirmation from Disney or Lucasfilm on any of this, and to learn more about the film in general.

As you undoubtedly know, Star Wars: Episode VII is due on December 18, 2015, also starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels, Max Von Sydow, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong'o, Oscar Isaac, Christina Chong, Crystal Clarke and Pip Anderson.
