Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
There is a level of this to worry about, for sure. But I think setting it in the timeline of the main saga helps tremendously. Disney needs to give the audience credit. People will get it. This is the best way to kick off the spin-off series. It's in the world people love. It's almost a prologue to the original trilogy. Vader is in it. It's gonna be fine.dimejinky99 wrote:That's the issue. This is their flagship stand alone. It's returns will not only affect future stand alone attendance but could overshadow negatively on 8s returns. The campaign to differentiate this from the main trilogy is the mission. It could backfire horribly.
Doomsday scenarios aside, it's gonna make mad bank and it's going to kick off something special. This is the future of Star Wars.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
my guess is that they are kinda lost with the movie, and they still dont know how to advertise it.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah I don't get your logic here, VG. A trailer is at most 3 minutes. So unless they are reshooting the entire movie, I'm sure they can pull 3 usable minutes from original shooting to make a trailer.stip wrote:the release of a trailer hardly requires a final cut of a movie, VG.

Okay. And I'll be here for you when Rogue One is a good movie (no matter what it's full of) and it makes buckets and buckets of cash.VinylGuy wrote:Ill be here my friends.
