There is a level of this to worry about, for sure. But I think setting it in the timeline of the main saga helps tremendously. Disney needs to give the audience credit. People will get it. This is the best way to kick off the spin-off series. It's in the world people love. It's almost a prologue to the original trilogy. Vader is in it. It's gonna be fine.

Doomsday scenarios aside, it's gonna make mad bank and it's going to kick off something special. This is the future of Star Wars.

Yeah I don't get your logic here, VG. A trailer is at most 3 minutes. So unless they are reshooting the entire movie, I'm sure they can pull 3 usable minutes from original shooting to make a trailer.
my guess is that they are kinda lost with the movie, and they still dont know how to advertise it.
