I'm probably at the height of my Star Wars fandom right now and I really don't care about this movie.

Of course. A trailer could get me excited. And let's be clear, I'm going to see this movie in theaters. No doubt. But it's the least excited I've been for anything with Star Wars in the title since Revenge of the Sith.

But yeah, its star wars, it has the logo man, lets go.

The fact that it was shot twice kind of undercuts your theory. You don't spend that much extra money unless you want a good product.

I agree it is a nostalgia movie, but that doesn't make it lazy. So was R1.

Wrong.
Remember Suicide Squad?

That's a completely different situation.

They also released a trailer with tons of shots from basically another movie of R1.

Suicide Squad FAILED to deliver a good product. Han Solo may also fail to deliver a good product. But I Warner Brothers clearly cared how it turned out or they would not have spent the money

That’s probably the best mental state to be in for any film. Seed bed for being pleasantly surprised to blown away.
These same ppl we’re talking about in the other thread are already targeting Solo and running it down wherever possible.
It’s like fandom has caught a hate Star Wars flu and is determined everyone else must catch it.
Not just fandom either. Lotta casual career complainers too. And the media are running with all over the place.

Totally. Like I've always said, I never WANT a movie to be bad. I hope Solo is awesome. My expectations are low but I'm fully willing to be surprised.

Yknow...if this film is successful...they could make another..and then a new saga to take over the Skywalker saga...

It could be called..the Han dynasty...

It’ll be huge in Asia.
