the spike household is enduring covid atm, after xmas with extended family. my sister called me the morning of the 27th to let us know she woke up symptomatic and popped a positive test. everyone present over the holiday took rapid tests that came up negative, both days we were together. just shitty timing.

wife and kid have it, somehow i have yet to pop a positive test. they have mild symptoms and seem to be improving daily, so assuming it's omicron. at least we got past the more severe strains.

The line for testing has been backed up for miles for days. Does it help much to know at this point?

our 2 good friends got here thursday from vancouver...one wasn't feeling well friday and took a test positive...we're just sitting around..my wife and i will test tomorrow i think

Sorry to hear fellas

My wife’s boss was sick and came in anyways. Declared it’s not Covid and guess what…it’s Covid. Few days later my wife tested positive. It’s been mild mostly except for the shits. I’ve felt a little off I’m assuming I have it. Kids haven’t had any symptoms yet. We all have had all our shots so hopefully this is the extent of it. It actually happened at a pretty good time everyone is home anyways.

My wife’s co-worker is livid. He asked them (it’s a husband and wife who own the business) not to come in when they said they didn’t feel good but Covid is bullshit to them so they came in the prove a point. The co-worker’s wife is pregnant couldn’t get the shot the pregnancy is high risk for a bunch of reasons too long to get into plus my wife has a heart condition she’s high risk too. It’s pretty outrageous they risked peoples lives cause of their politics. The funny thing is they bought the business with the idea it’d run itself so they never come in but as soon as someone suggested they don’t come in cause of a Covid risk you bet your ass they showed up.

Sounds like pretty much everyone has it and for most of them it’s not a big deal. That’s what it sounds like.
