It’s almost like that was Russia’s goal this whole time

Looks like the report isn't going to damage Trump like we all had hoped, or at all. Wonderful.

It’s likely that there just wasn’t enough evidence to file charges related to the scope of the investigation. That doesn’t mean that the evidence isn’t sufficient for other criminal charges.

I would remind you that the best thing for the blue team in 2020 is to keep orange man in place being outrageously dumb

Trump coming out of this investigation unscathed is going to be worse for liberals than him winning the election was. While I had a bit of Mueller fever at the start, that quickly wore off as it continued to drag on, and left me feeling like this outcome was going to be the case. There's always the possibility that the SDNY's investigations will bear fruit, but to the average American, the Mueller investigation was how Trump would ultimately be judged. That will have the effect of making those on the fence view the ongoing congressional and other law enforcement investigations as, dare I say, witch hunts. That may not be the actual case, but Democrats should really be doing some soul searching about the next two years if this report truly vindicates Trump.

I just really think we're overrating the amount of people that are going to be swayed on this one way or the other. The half of the country that is opposed to Trump are likely going to say that just because something wasn't indictable does not mean there was no wrongdoing, and that it was unlikely Mueller would ever indict a sitting president (which I definitely agree with; anyone who thought that was coming, whether justified or not, was fooling themselves). And the other half of the country already thought Mueller was a partisan and this was all a witch hunt before the report was even released. I could be wrong, but I just find it unlikely there's this massive middle that was a) cares about the results of the report, and b) is going to believe what politicians say about it anyway. Which I guess in the end is a win for Trump because he succeeds mainly when everyone's down to his level. I don't think this wins him any votes, and to be honest, if the report is negative for him in ways we haven't found out yet, I doubt it loses him any votes.

That being said, if the report is as good for Trump as he says it is, then he should just release it, because without that, it'll just keep continuing. Getting into a protracted battle about hiding it from Congress and the public would just be idiocy if it wouldn't hurt them.

He hasn’t tweeted in over 24 hours.

Something in the report has him rattled
