Hot take after one listen is that the back half sounds as if Pearl Jam made the Into the Wild soundtrack.

There is no doubt that I put this ahead of the last 3 albums. I wish Ed was 10 years younger for it but it is what is.

I guess we all agree that every single song on this album shits on Can’t Deny Me?

I probably like it better than Never Destination.

Ed sounds pretty great on this.

"Alright" into "Seven O'Clock" is a cool transition.

"Seven O'Clock" is a little too Springsteen for me but I like parts of it

I think CDM is better than at least two of these songs, maybe more. We'll have to see how thing shake out as I live with this thing more.

But I'm the world's only CDM fan so you can't trust my take on this.

Also, I like how connected these songs are. So many tracks have little atmospherics and noises and elements that bleed from the previous song into the next. I haven't spent enough time with it to comfortably call it a concept album or anything like that but those elements give a concept album quality that I really dig.

this thing really needed another quick escape rager towards the end to balance things out a bit.

I'm home for lunch, would love to hear from one of you personally about this.

what a delightful first listen. ambitious album that doesnt feel exhausting. There is a gentle fire that runs through this whole thing. Sounds exactly right for this moment
